Ippon

Evaluation of the points in Nage-waza.

An award of Ippon is equivalent to one point, and ends the match.

Situations for an award of Ippon occur;

• when the contestants are standing (Nage-waza) and one Judoka throws the other with Skillful Control, Speed, Force and on the Back.
