In a true double elimination tournament, in the first round, I was paired with the #1 seed in my division. I lost in “Golden Score” and went to the loser bracket. I knew I could beat him. I fought my way and persevered through the loser bracket to meet him again in the finals. In the finals I won by wizard. Since this was his first loss, we had to fight again. In this final match, I threw him for Ippon. Reflection: Even though I lost in the first round, I didn’t let it get me down. I knew I would get a second change to redeem myself.
