Five Modules of Learning.  We begin with;

Course Requirements to complete the certification process; 2″ Passport style picture for ID Badge, USJF Membership, Proof of Shodan rank and higher , Background check (Required – 18 yrs older), Concussion Training/National Federation of High School Concussion and SafeSport certification.

Modules

• Module 1: Welcome to USJF Coach Certification provides a general introduction as to the purpose of Coach Certification. What is “USJF Coaching”
• Module 2: Philosophy, Developing a Coaching Philosophy, Positive Coaching
• Module 3: Growth and Development, Principles of Resistance Training,  Principles of Physical Conditioning
• Module 4: Communication, Communicating with your Athlete
• Module 5; Introduces risk management.  How to protect yourself  from Negligence litigation.

Minimum age and rank requirement: 16 yrs and older – Brown  (3rd Degree Brown Belt)

Level of Certification:

USJF National Coach  Certification: Individuals with NO previous coach certifications from USJF, USJA, USA Judo

Fees:

• Certification Fee: $100.00

Valid:

• Your certification is valid for 2 years from date of issuance.

The USJF Elite Coach Certification refresher course involves strategic planning.

• Module: Strategy and Planning – In developing a strategy for success, it’s essential to first assess areas of improvement, identify any deficiencies, and determine what needs to be strengthened. With a clear understanding of these factors, you can then create a comprehensive strategic plan.

Minimum age and rank requirement: 16 yrs and older – Brown  (3rd Degree Brown Belt)

Valid:

• Certification is valid for 2 years from date of issuance.
