USJF National Teacher Re-Certification Course Overview

The USJF Teacher Re-Certification Course is presented in seven modules.  At the conclusion of the seventh module you will have an opportunity to download a provisional Certificate of Completion.  The provisional certificate does not certify you as a Master Teacher, but an acknowledgement that you have participated in the course.  Upon reviewing the required documents and successful completion of the video uploads,  a Certificate of Accomplishment certifying you as an Master Teacher will be issued.

You will only have 30 days to complete the process.  If you miss the completion date, you will be required to re-register and pay the appropriate fees.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the conclusion of this course you will able to;

  1. Summarize Judo philosophy
  2. Define and illustrate elements in Instruction (Pedagogy)
  3. Recognize and illustrate attributes of an assistant instructor
  4. Identify and demonstrate techniques in Tachi-waza, Osae-waza, Shime-waza, Kansetsu-waza and transitions from Tachi waza into Ne waza

  • – Module 2: USJF Jr. Rank Requirements and Teaching Judo to Children
  • – Module 3: Additional Course Requirements to Complete the Certification
  • – Module 4: Judo philisophy
  • Module 5: Tools for Instruction and Lesson Planning
  • – Module 6: Assistant Teachers
  • – Module 7: Upload Lessons, Upload a 2 Minute Instructional Video on Tachi-waza, Osae-waza, Shime-waza, Kansetsu-waza, Turnovers and Tachi-waza to Ne-waza transitions.

Certification: Valid for 2 years

You must successfully complete the Module quiz with a score of 80% or higher before progressing to the next Module.
